FAQ

The most common questions about Funao Butler. Answers as direct as the Butler itself.

What is Funao Butler?

An AI life-manager app on your phone. When you face a decision you don't have time or energy to work through yourself, send a message — Butler helps you sort the options and gives an actionable next step. Not a search box, not a chatbot. A decision copilot for daily life.

How is this different from Doubao or Qwen?

Doubao/Qwen give you information — ask them something, they dump a wall of text, and you sift through it yourself. Butler makes decisions for you — finds the best option, gives you actionable conclusions and rankings. That's a species difference, not "a more useful AI."

How do I use it right now?

We're in early access. Leave your email and we'll notify you when access opens. Just install the app and say what you need — no commands to learn.

Will Butler make things up?

No — this is non-negotiable. Can't find something? Says so. Not certain? Flags it. A fake answer is worse than no answer. Butler's value is built on honesty; fabricating destroys the whole point.

What kinds of things can Butler help with?

Two main areas: ① Life decisions — what to buy, which option to pick, kid's homework right or wrong: Butler gives rankings and conclusions. ② High-pressure processes — minor collisions, unclear rules, important documents: Butler helps sequence the next step, but never replaces official, medical, legal, or financial judgment.

How does Butler make money?

Subscription-first. Standard membership is ¥29.9/month with no third-party ads, higher baseline quotas, and basic guarding. Premium membership is ¥69.9/month with higher quotas, deeper guarding, and priority experience. Users pay, so Butler answers only to users — not advertisers. When there are shopping commissions, they never influence recommendations. We only recommend what's best for you, not what earns us the most.

Does Butler remember what I've told it?

Yes, but this is not an “everything stays only on-device” promise. Butler uses layered privacy: preferences that can stay on the device should stay there; content you submit for AI chat, image/file analysis, membership sync, and cross-device guarding is processed in the cloud when the service requires it. You should be able to see what it remembers and ask to delete what should not be retained; microphone, photo, and notification permissions should be explained clearly and remain controllable.

Will my conversations be used to train AI models?

Not without consent. Your conversation data is primarily used to provide the service and necessary memory. Product improvement should follow anonymization, minimization, and opt-out principles.
